Concept for a hotel which claims a public space in front of it.

The hotel is situated in a business district. The facade acts as an entertainment screen with the inclusion of Illumesh which is able to project images. The public plane in front of it is activated by means of festivals, markets, public debates. Privatised hotel internally, public actor externally.

The hotel epitomes a liminal object between the public and private realm. Just as the act of residing in a hotel for one night can be an extension of a liminal act...from one destination to another. That in between bliss before you have to go back home to reality...
